We started becoming sustainable by selecting a green preferred hosting partner. Since all our energy consumption runs through a hosting partner, choosing a low-energy, renewable focused company saves emissions in IT services from the outset.
This hosting partner has domains and email servers which operate in sustainable data centres, continuously improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and waste.
They use a closed loop design which utilises natural cooling, installed on sea beds since 2009. This avoids the high cost of cooling.
They choose low energy, long life data centre lighting with motion lighting installed where possible. To date, we use 50% renewable energy and growing.

Twister Solutions offer cost-effective IT services which facilitate and complement the implementation of green technology. We acknowledge that there is still work to do to set a winning example as a sustainability-focused IT service in Essex, but we are steadily on our way. We will continue towards a carbon neutral business model in the coming years.
